ds2 has decide he doesnt want to sit in his highchair and wants to sit on the big chairs like us but hes only 20mths so dosent come up very high plus im scared he may fall.We have high back leather chairs so need something that will fit securely to them without wrecking the furniture.

how about a compromise - we use a wooden high chair which puts the dc at the right height for the table, no tray or anything - they're happy and the dining chairs are ok too

will get you a linky in a mo. The expensive alternative is the tripp trapp style, maybe take a look?

I think a former version of this is what we have - ds2 had it originally and he's 6 now, dd still using it and she's 3.10
also wondering if this is actually more like ti. BTW, we have the tray over the back and use the chair pulled up to the dining table. As they can't really reach the table from a normal chair til about 5yo (yes I have diddy dc) then it may well be worth looking into the Stokke tripp trapp etc...

we used this basic booster for ds. It may not be pretty but it did the job!

A kaboost will raise your dining chair nicely. It won't hold him in place, but tbh at 20 months he really won't need that for long, esp if you tuck the chair up to the table fully.
