Over the top party dress

My dd needs a party dress for her show next month, I want an over the top party dress, a bit like the american pagaent beauty queens. Have been looking on e american ebay, seen a few although the postage tends to be hefty. Haven't got time to make one - any ideas?

Do you have any shops selling asian clothing/fabric near you? They quite often have OTT party dresses for little girls, with lots of frills and lace.

TSAP, where are you? A charity shop near us has a lovely but bit dated small bridesmaid's dress with huge blowsy print, a bit laura ashley on mescalin. Maybe not OTT enough. I'm in Oxford, could check out size etc for you...

I am in Blackpool, i want silk, net puffy skirts but just not that much.

I quite like s780 but that may be because we are compring them to the others!

why not just get a bridesmaid dress? or are they too obviously bridesmaid. debenhams have great ones

So maybe will look for one like it! DD would love it anything pink and swirly and she is in heaven, might thik about asking my Mum to make her a dress.

Although if I can get one on ebay will be cheaper, nice material is so expensive.

TSAP, I think if you are going to go the "whole hog" with the pageant queen look, and it is for a competition, I would go with the red and white one - it's a bit different and will make her stand out more!
