The whole world over women and girls escape the monotonies and the drudgeries of everyday existence............along well trodden tracks, laughing out loud together...... at the rivers edge or in the market square, exchanging ribaldries from balcony.
A net of companionship encircling the planet.
Strength regained. Sympathies exchanged. Bitterness turned to warmth.
Life made endurable in shared experiences, and in laughter and in courage.
I know it is a bit twee, but when I read it, it summed up MN to me.
