My dh (computer geek) has made a computer program to encourage children to practice their times tables.

Our ds aged 8 really struggle with times tables and as he has a computer of his own my dh has made a program that means he has to answer a series of questions before he can log into his computer. He cant play on his computer until he has answered the questions correctly.

The questions are randomly selected within the guidelines that parents set. eg. 2 times tables or a selection of all of the times tables.

What do you think?

Honest opinions?

It sounds a good idea in principle, but perhaps needs extending to cover other areas, if you want to sell it commercially.

Have it parent configurable so they can type in their own questions and answers? Perhaps tie it in to the school curriculum?
