Hi,

We are off to South Africa for a month, want a back carrier for DD (18 months). We currently have an Ergo, which is great, but DD does seem to get a bit warm in there (DH gets overheated carrying her, too!! ).

We're wondering if a framed back carrier would be better - if so, we need a lightweight compact one really, in order to be able to pack it into the luggage.

Any suggestions? Much appreciated

Thanks

I think a gauze wrap would be best, very lightweight to pack and to carry around when she isn't in it. I have a framed carrier I use sometimes for "proper" walking and it still gets you hot!

How about a mai tei? it's got less fabric than an ergo, so more space to breath - they also fold up to nothing and can fit in a bag easily. They are great for airports too.

Thanks

Shall now investigate wraps!
