I had a virgin phone which was fine but my next one was rubbish. I'm wondering whether to get another virgin one now (less hassle) or go for a different network completely.

Sorry - I never answered the second part, was on the phone (ironically with v poor reception) at the time.

I called them and explained that I had no reception in my house (or anywhere else pretty much), they did a few tests (so make sure you are somewhere where reception is poor), and agreed with me. I asked if it would be better with a diff phone, and they said maybe, but that it would probably be best with a diff company altogether.

Ended up with Orange which DH had. Annoying thing is though, reception has gotten gradually worse with them too!
