I found them blimmin difficult to get back in the cover after use, so didn't really end up using it. I felt like a bit of a prat struggling with it on the beach.

wiltshirelass · 21/05/2003 12:16

yes, salisbury plain in november is a tropical paradise..
my no 3 is a boy (he flashed us on the scan so no doubts there) and I was concerned about dd and me being outnumbered, until she pointed out that the dog was female. so completely evenly matched, then..!

ThomCat · 21/05/2003 13:56

I wouldn't be without mine! Lottie loves it, I could get in there & breast feed in the cool shade whilst on a beach in French heatwave and they pack up to the size of a large frizbee, I think they're fab.

caydeb · 21/05/2003 15:04

I live in the carribean and my son and friends won't stay under them and yes they are like an oven, we find a parasol and some shade works best

SoupDragon · 21/05/2003 15:32

Bobbins, there is a knack to folding them up and when you've got it right they fold up like magic!

And when you don't get it, you're right, you look like a complete prat.

Soupie> I was in the latter camp for sure

wiltshirelass · 21/05/2003 17:04

god I don't know, postage costs probably! i'd have thought a tenner should cover stamps and the reams of brown paper required to wrap it in. probably less actually. when do you need it by? (have to dig it out and am away next week).

Right girlies, just received my latest 'Safeway offers' leaflet thingy doodah. Anyway they have a 'Beach Shelter' which is 2.10 M (I assume wide by the picture) and a carry bag all for £7.99 - Probably not UV but better than nothing for the shade side of things.
