Just been given one for DS2 (didn't use one for DS1) and not sure what he should wear with it? It's a 1 tog.

Please can someone enlighten me?! Thanks

that tog is a height of summer tog .. the winter ones are 2.5tog

DD is still in her winter one and last night wore just a long-sleeved top and nappy

think a sleepsuit under it will be fine

Nimme · 05/06/2005 18:45

DD2 is in tog 1 and wearing just a long sleeved top. She has eczema and I don't want to aggrevate it - especially on the back on legs. Did you not get a thermometer with it - has handytips for what to wear in what temps.

Merlin · 05/06/2005 18:46

Nimme - was given it secondhand so no thermometer. Will try normal sleepsuit first - weather is a bit cooler anyway today - where's the heatwave?!!!

merlin, at 20 degrees, a short sleeved bodysuit & pyjama top; at 22 degrees, a long sleeved bodysuit; at 24 degrees, a short sleeved bodysuit for a 1.0 tog bodygro

blimey Twiglett, my ds2 has been in his high summer (0.5 tog) one a lot of nights recently, I think he'd be much too hot in his 2.5 tog ones at the mo.

Merlin, I've been using long-sleeved bodysuits or just PJ tops the last few nights. Sleepsuit are OK for colder nights, but the best thing to do is to slip in and check him once he's asleep, you'll soon get used to how many clothes he needs in it. They keep surprisingly warm inside a grobag IME.

you could also have a look at this and go through the questions to see what they recommend: here

Merlin, I've got a spare one I can bring over tomorrow for the meetup. Nimme, hope that's OK, just thought it made sense as I am going to Merlin's anyway.

Merlin · 06/06/2005 11:40

thanks for the offer nimme, but a RL friend came to the rescue over the weekend with one! Thanks also CSA for the temps.

Now where can I buy long sleeve bodysuits - can't find any at all?
