Scooter or balance bike for 3 year old?

My dd is 3 next month. Lots of her peers have mini micro scooters and I know she'd like one, but wondered if a balance bike wouldn't provide longer lasting fun? Would love opinions on best buy please.

I can't comment on the balance bike. My DS has a scooter which he has used every day since Easter when he got it. He was 2 years 10 months when he got it.
It took him about 3 tries before he got it and he can now go at quite a speed!

Thanks. Think the scooter makes sense too as I'll be able to carry it on the pram easier than a bike.
