Does anyone have a smoke detector that doesn't go off randomly?

I actually would like a QUIET smoke detector but I don't think you are allowed to make them... Just one that doesn't go off at random would be good. Any recommendations?

We had ours fitted by the fire brigade. Sadly the one who came out was long and gangly and had a not actually fighting fires uniform on, but it is good having better smoke alarms. They do it all free as well

Ours doesn't go off randomly, but it does go off whenever I make toast. Would that do?

We have a toast-detector too. But it was fitted by the fire brigade, so is very reliable at detecting toast/grilling/general cooking. But it was a female firefighter who came to our house. Oh well.
