How old for a buggy board?

Is asking a 22mth old to ride a buggy board a too bigger ask?

We are ttc number2 and if (finger crossed) I fall soon then DD will be about 22mths ish.
Didnt really want to be buying a double pram so was wondering this could work?

DD is now 13mths and a pretty good walker. She started walking at 11mths and is very steady although cant walk too far without getting tired.

I suppose you cant really tell till nearer the time.

How old/young did you (sucessfully) start using a board?

Pigley - congratulations

Have no idea about whether 22 months is too young for a buggy board. I guess you'll have to wait and see how DD develops over the next few months before you decide what you need to buy.

DD was 21m when DS was born and I wondered this too. However, it was winter and she would have been too cold, as well as too tired, to stand on the buggy board for long, so was glad we had a pushchair with toddler seat (Bertini Bidwell).

Even now at 3.3 she moans about going on the board, but the upside is that DS 18mo loves it and is v steady on it.

So, I would say it would be OK as an extra but not sole mode of transport just for now.

And congratulations!
