Are moses baskets all the same size and shape?

I need to buy a new mattress for our moses basket for DS2. But do I need to buy a Mamas and Papas mattress because it's a M&P moses basket, or will any brand do? TIA

there are different sizes - measure your m&p one and check it against the sizes offered in mothercare. I know because I bought the wrong size for a borrowed basket & had to change it.

I'd be keen to know about any stores which do slightly larger ones. The ones in Babys R Us seem to be tiny and John Lewis had some larger ones on display but not much in stock.

most moses baskets take either a 66cm long or 75cm long mattress and the vast majority are 28cm wide, but double check.

I had the same problem - assumed they were all the same size, bought one from Mothercare and ended up having to take it back and get a M&P one!
