Can someone help me with my Nokia.. I am having trouble setting up phone lists

I have added a few girls onto a list but even though I know the other numbers are on the phone, when I choose people to add to the list they are not available for adding. IYKWIM.

If I go through the text menu I can send them a text so I definately have the numbers, it is just in the set up list menu that they are not there.

If anyone has understood this waffle PLEASE can you help?!?!

Are they on your sim card? If so, can you copy them to phone memory? I've been struggling to do same with new Nokia but my nos were on sim transferred from old phone. Not sure that this will be any help!

Ah yes they are on the sim.. will go and try to copy them onto the phone.. thanks
