Oops, I think such a thing doesn't exist. Even Argos' cheapest is 59. Can anyone tell me what a BMX style saddle is?

Not very helpful, but 'France' would be a good answer!

My mum got Ds1's bike when she went over for a shopping trip, and I think it cost the equivalent of about £40. Worth mentioning just in case you know anyone who is planning a trip though

What do you mean by 16"? Frame size or wheel size? (sorry I'm not a bike person)

I have 3 little boys bikes in my garage which my boys had when they were 6 & 8 ish. They are a bit tatty & would need tyres pumping up etc but you are welcome to any/all of them if you like. The smallest one has a wheel of 12" & I think the largest one is 13" but the seat/pedal distance is 16". (Middle one is green/yellow and the other 2 are shocking pink).

Thanks for all your tips, my Mum has gone off and got one in Toysrus. Tallulah, thanks for the kind offer - I might take you up on that next time I'm down in Ashford!
