My parents have a pool and my flats have a water feature in the communal garden. DS is walking and I am starting to think about water safety. I don't know whether to get an alarm (which may also be useful for holidays etc) or whether it does more harm than good by lulling you into a false sense of security. Obviously he will never be around either unsupervised. The pool has a lock, the water feature doesn't. The water feature is probably more dangerous but a wrist alarm may not be in the water while his head might be..... any thoughts, or recommendations for particular alarms?
