quinny buzz with lascal buggy board..advice please

have bought the lascal maxi buggy board and attached to my quinny base...'think' its on right, used the pics from the lascal website but you can't use the brakes - is this right??

Doesn't sound right. I've got the same combination and the brakes work fine (although not as easy to get to as before the buggy board was on there. I must admit it took a couple of attempts to get it right as the pictures on the web weren't that helpful... I could try to take a picture if that would help?
