friends 1st baby is due soon and i asked her if there was anything she would like us to get. she said that she has some cotton cellular blankets but would like some acrylic ones. this surprised me as i would never have thought to get acrylic ones for dds. is there some advantage to them that i don't know about? surely they are not as breathable?

I bought an acrylic one by acident and it was horrible, quite scratchy and didn't wash well. Tell her that cotton is best for frequent washing.

Acrylic are better if baby's bedroom is particularly cold I believe. We live in a very cold barn conversion and acrylic are warmer here.
