bollocks.

i would just buy another nomad as it has served me awfully well, but dd2 is a total plaster and i'm sure would prefer a front-facing.

so, cheap front-facings that aren't naff? can anyone help? or is it possible to buy these things second-hand and not get totally ripped off?

thanks, crazy pram ladies.

What about a baby jogger city mini. You can pick them for around £150. These are one of the best around.

AitchTwoOh · 26/07/2009 22:39

it's front-facing, claret. i got that bit wrong int he OP, sorry.
will do, misdee, thanks.

Hey Aitch, come on over and try out my Frog, Bee and/or Cam !!

How on earth did your 3 year old break the seat in half????

Hope the insurance comes good anyways.

AitchTwoOh · 27/07/2009 09:56

lol, you are KIDDING me, you don't have all of those do you? you should consider changing your name...

she literally broke the back board in half, by pushing down on it when she was on the buggy board. it's a bit of a design fault actually... if they're prepared to sell you a board they might expect a three year old to lean on the seat.

horsemadgal · 27/07/2009 13:18

Yes and that's just the Bugaboos, won't mention the others!!

EEK, you should sue Jane really, she could have really got a sore one.

AitchTwoOh · 27/07/2009 17:45

WHY?? have you had another baby? your ds must be well out of a buggy... are you a pro-trader now or something?

OP posts:
horsemadgal · 28/07/2009 00:21

LOL no, I have another son, he's 5 months.

AitchTwoOh · 28/07/2009 00:45

oh thank goodness, i thought i'd lost you completely to pram hunnery.

so are you actually selling any of these buggies or are you just offering me a shot?

OP posts:
horsemadgal · 28/07/2009 08:32

LOL I wouldn't call myself a hun, not round these parts anyway.

Addictive personality maybe, before kids it was horse rugs and saddlecloths.

Yes just a try out, though I should really sell some. Just can't bear to part with any.

AitchTwoOh · 30/07/2009 20:37

ooooh, what should i do...?

what's the bee like, can it take a buggy board?

OP posts:
AitchTwoOh · 30/07/2009 21:03

oh, the reviews say it's rubbish for size, and dd2's already nearly one.

waaaaaaaah. i don't want a chameleon or frog. why don't sodding jane do a sodding rear-facing?

OP posts:
horsemadgal · 30/07/2009 21:28

Jane do one now, I'm sure Kiddicare have them, hang on.

Oh and Bee ok for a one year old, might not last much past age 2 though.

AitchTwoOh · 30/07/2009 21:39

really? that would be good, i've loved my nomad. it's just that dd2 really hates hearing me and dd1 talking and not being able to join in.

i've been looking at the brio go, know anything about them? i don't want a bugaboo chameleon, everysoddingperson i know has one.

OP posts:
horsemadgal · 30/07/2009 21:47

Solo Reverse, see here

AitchTwoOh · 30/07/2009 21:51

ooooh, thanks. fuckaduck, that's ugly.

OP posts:
horsemadgal · 30/07/2009 21:53

Just get the Bee, maybe in another year she'll go in the crappy MacLaren.

misdee · 30/07/2009 21:55

pmsl

accessorizequeen · 30/07/2009 22:05

What about a britax vigour 3 aitch as you don't seem to want a 4 wheeler rear facer? Someone told me if you get the older models (not 3+) they have air tyres. like this one

AitchTwoOh · 30/07/2009 22:08

ah good, here's misdee, the voice of reason.

the insurance are happy to pay for a new buggy, although it'll punt my premium up a bit.

so.

should i forget insurance and get the seats from you?

should i get the seats and chassis from you?

should i just give myself and dd2 a treat and get a new buggy, even if i have to buy a new buggy board for dd1 and it jumps the insurance?

the way i see it, dd1 still uses the board, not just cos she's tired etc but if i want to get somewhere without a whole load of 'hello birds, hello trees'. she's three and a half. so i figure that dd2 will use this buggy for that length of time too...

what do i do?

brio? mutsy four rider?

OP posts:
AitchTwoOh · 30/07/2009 22:09

the vigour gets a good write up on which but seems very heavy and bulky, is that not right?

OP posts:
misdee · 30/07/2009 22:11

treat yourself

mutsy has piddly small seats. so dont bother

get a bugaboo

the britax ones are meant to be v v v v good but not sure compatable with the board.

or make dd1 walk and get a snuggly sling for dd2 lol.

AitchTwoOh · 30/07/2009 22:14

really, the mutsy is wee? kerrist, it looks enormo.

will have another look at the vigour, i crossed it off my list cos of something on which, can't remember what.

any thoughts on the brio go, crazy pram lady?

OP posts:
accessorizequeen · 30/07/2009 22:14

11kg is not too bad IMO but not as light as frog say (not sure what else you're looking at now). I'm considering one because I'd like rear-facer for when I get to take one twin out or ds2 who is 2.8, easy to push and I get to talk to them I've had frog, don't want another one or one like it as they're hard to steer with larger toddlers in. I like 3 wheelers...

AitchTwoOh · 30/07/2009 22:16

yes i don't find the frogs or chameleons that easy to steer one handed.

i wish dd2 liked the nomad... but i can totally understand why she doesn't with me and her sister chatting away behind her. she loved it before she grew out of the matrix.

OP posts:
misdee · 30/07/2009 22:18

the seat/hood on the mutsy has low head clearence
