Stage 1 car seat for very small car - FF or RF - which model?

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can help...

We are looking for a Stage 1 car seat and I have been considering a rear facing one if we can find one that actuallyl fits in our car which is a VW Lupo - snmaller than a polo with 2 doors only.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Also, if not, does anyone recommend the Kiddy Infinity Pro and have any exoerience of this working ok in a very small car?

Hope there are some poeple out there who may have some ideas?!

I don't know what would work, but I'd recommend talking to the ladies in Essex County Council - they're very helpful and have a lot of experience fitting car seats in different cars. If you can get near to them (or they to you - they do a lot of the free, council-sponsored car-seat safety checks at fire stations) you may be able to try likely contenders.

Do you have a front passenger air bag? Putting the car seat in the front may be a solution, especially if you don't have more than one adult in the car very often.
