Ball Pits

I have promised DW that I will get my darling DD a ball pit/swimming pool for the summer.

Has anyone else got one and if so can they recommend one to me before I go to buy one?

Also are there different types of balls you can get?

SH - I might have known you'd have started a balls thread.

I got my ds one from Woolworths. It was actually a paddling pool that looks like an open mouthed hippo! I bought bags of balls seperately (200 for £9.99 in Woolies). It was great coz in the summer we could take it outside. Fab!

I think there's only one sort of balls and I think ELC have then on BOGOFF (by 2 x 100 get 100 free) You need more than you'd imagine! ELC have a good range of pools actually - I've not got their catalogue to hand but their website should have them. We got DS1 a fire engine one from ELC - inflated it once and had to shove it in the garage fully inflated as it took ages! (top tip: get an electric pump) This one was too big for him to get in and out of by himself though.

Also, get a tap connector to allow you to put some hot water in the pool - it's freezing straight from the mains! Character building it may be, but it's no fun for the adults

BUY 200, not by. Doh!

And M2T, I just knew you'd lower the tone of this innocent thread. Get back in the Yurt!

Beating a hasty retreat back now.....

Here I am trying to be as non-flirty as I can and I still fail.

So M2T are these balls very robust then?

ELC is the place - they also throw in a ffree footpump with the pool. SOme basic ones - £10

SH - No they're not..... easily squashed when you stand on them.

Did that make your eyes water?

SoupDragon · 07/05/2003 21:51

They pop back into shape if you give them a squeeze.

SoupDragon · 07/05/2003 21:52

Or you can boil them - that sometimes works too.

Soupdragon

Thanks for that.

M2T

My eyes watered.
