Does anyone know anything about tumble dryers?

I think mine has just died but wondered if anyone might have a simple, inexpensive solution before I go and buy a new one (ouch!).

It's a Hotpoint condenser dryer with an electronic display. The display works and thinks the dryer is going, counting down, but nothing is happening. The drum doesn't go round and there's no heat. Is the motor knackered or something? It's out of warranty btw.

Thank you!

does it have a reset button?

Um, not that I know of...is that where you take of the back and drill a small hole between the thingies (technical word there!)?

No some machines have a red button type thing on the back, you need to push it quite hard till it clicks.

Google your make of machine and you might come up with something.
