me too disenchanted ... I am going to have to get myself to the station from September and a bike would mean I could have an extra 10/15 minutes in bed every morning! The only problem is ... I can't ride a bike - I haven't ridden since I was a child (other than a drunken ride down Camden High Street one morning). I think I will have to learn with ds!

I got a free fold down bike when I was on holiday to Belgium, it copes quite well with the hills around here (West Lothian, Scotland.) I'd love a Pashley Princess or a Christiana when the dts were little enough to fit in the front, but I've got a Raleigh Pioneer and my little Sunparks bike, which will do. And it didn't cost anywhere near what they are charging for them now.
