ELASTICATED SUN HATS-HELP!

Does anyone know where I can get a sun hat for my 14m old ds that ties under the chin? I have tried Adams, Mothercare, Primark and H&M. He is partial to tossing his baseball-style cap off with his forefinger and an impish smirk! We are going to the seaside at the end of the month so need on asap.
Thanks.

Do you have a Pumpkin Patch near you? The did have hats with floppy brims with a strap but the strap may have only been on the small sizes.

M&S are doing some this year, but so far I haven't seen any bigger than 6-12 months size. One of my friends has one for her ds who is 17 months though, so I suppose they are doing the bigger sizes.

We did try adding a strap to a hat which didn't have one, but ds just pulled it over his chin and then tossed the hat away. And this was after a 5-minute struggle to get it on in the first place (well, it felt like 5 mins).

Inga, I have searched high and low and the only place I found one so far is M&S. They only come in blue and have a velco strap. I actually brought two ( in case I lost one )in size 12 - 18 months for my 17 month,he keeps them all day, they're fantastic!!

Inga, I had the same problem with my ds. I ended up buying him a girls' hat complete with pink decoration at the Gap as it was the only thing I could find. I think they have some in at the moment.

Could you add some ties or elastic to the baseball cap? It would only take five minutes to do.

Flap Happy hats are nice, like Legionnaires hats with ties - they have pink or blue gingham in the Great Little Trading Company (www.gltc.co.uk) - think they're about £14.99 or less.
