Does anyone know of a lightweight, easy fold, parent facing. Must fold in 1 piece as use public transport a lot with a toddler.

Try finding out about the bebe confort Streety.
Not sure if it folds in rear facing but have heard the fold is good.
It's the most stroller type.
Otherwise if your DC is small and money no object a Bugaboo bee would be recommended by many. However they are small and a toddler may not get much use out of it.

bugaboo bee is excellent
still fine size wise for my 16 month old, plenty of room

bee, again I used it with a 2 year old and it was fine.

I think we're going with a bee as well, but I did ask the guy in Mothercare to fold it for me and he seemed to be having a difficult time, so I'm not sure "easy folding" describes it well...But he was a bit dim... And he couldn't tell me if it folded with seat on in both directions. Anyone know?

yes it does fold with the seat in either directions but there is an extra step involved when the seat it rear facing so it's a little trickier - think you have to unclick either the back or the front of the seat.
