Sticky stuff removal tips

Brand new kettle for my hob

Sticker on the base that will burn

Removed sticker and now have a sticky patch.

Any tips on removing it?

White spirit - on a bit of cottonwool and rub the sticky bit until it is gone (a few seconds). Make sure you wait until the white spirit is totally evaporated before using the kettle on the hob!
