Has anyone got one? Any good? DS loves bananas, but I think he's going to grow up telling people that bananas are brown and mottled!

And what else shall I buy to make the P&P worthwhile?

Well, I love mine, but DP thinks it hysterical!!! MEN

Keeps Bananas perfect, and fits all sizes

snafu · 12/05/2005 18:17

I know I'm going to regret asking this but - wtf is a banana guard?

kalex · 12/05/2005 18:18

Any buy the oven cleaner, I had a major spring clean this week and the oven, micro and BBQ grill are all spotless, with very very little effort, and i got the wholesome good housewife feeling

Newbarnsleygirl · 12/05/2005 18:19

Banana guard.

kalex · 12/05/2005 18:19

Snafu, a guard for banana's

Stops them getting bashed in things

Munchkinola · 12/05/2005 18:19

I did a lakeland shop today and saw the banana guard which looked huge to me. My bananas are never that big so I put it back.

Have a look at my thread for tips

snafu · 12/05/2005 18:20

But...but...but...what on earth are you people doing to your bananas for them to require their own guard?? Mine just sit in the fruit bowl, looking, well, unabashed hehehehehe

kalex · 12/05/2005 18:22

Just wait til they want out of the house though, they will shout to you from the fruit bowl "we want out" and then you shall need a BG, to protect them from the Big Bad World

snafu · 12/05/2005 18:23

Aaaah, so it's for Extreme Sports Bananas, is it? I don't buy those.

hunkermunker · 12/05/2005 18:26

Bananas in this house go out of the house fairly regularly - and end up squashed in a bag with their ends snapped off. I am a banana-neglecter.

I want one of these but just can't quite bring myself to buy one.

hunkermunker · 12/05/2005 18:28

Why not, WWW? I admit, they look odd, but I'd rather odd than brown bananas!

OP posts:
WideWebWitch · 12/05/2005 18:29

Can't justify spending the money hm, it's not an essential is it, really?

snafu · 12/05/2005 18:29

I know it's lazy but can someone do me a link? If it's good enough for hunkermunker...

WideWebWitch · 12/05/2005 18:30

hunkermunker · 12/05/2005 18:30

OP posts:
WideWebWitch · 12/05/2005 18:31

hunkermunker · 12/05/2005 18:31

I'm hoping it will make me go hiking on the fells

OP posts:
snafu · 12/05/2005 18:32

Oh. My. God.

hunkermunker · 12/05/2005 18:32

Who are you calling loser, hey? I'm the one about to have unblemished bananas!

OP posts:
hunkermunker · 12/05/2005 18:32

Snaf, you want one. You know you do

OP posts:
snafu · 12/05/2005 18:34

pmsl, can't stop snorting. It really is most unattractive.

OK, I really do want one. Or maybe even two. Can you buy them even if you don't go fell-walking? Or do you have to prove ownership of a rucksack?

mrspink27 · 12/05/2005 18:34

i have one, my mum bought it for me and my DH also thinks its hilarious!
