Need a thankyou present
nutcracker · 12/05/2005 16:57
A friend of mine has just given me all of her sons bedroom furniture as they have moved today. It is the exact same stuff I was going to buy myself and is in great condition and has saved me spending money i didn't have.
I am soooooo grateful as she wouldn't accept any money for it.
I want to get a nice thankyou pressie but don't know what.
Was going to get flowers but not sure wether to or not.

chocolates? Bake some biscuits/cake if you're feeling like a domestic goddess?

I think a big bunch of flowers and a card with a thoughtful message in would be appropriate, nutty.
It's the sort of thing I would do (ie give stuff away and not take money for it), and it's the kind of thankyou gesture I would appreciate.
However, I would leave it for a few days so that she has a chance to find a vase to put the flowers in!!

Soupy had to LOL at the idea of me even attempting to be a domestic godess
Miaou Lol hadn't thought of that about the vase.

You could always get her an arrangement in a basket/oasis thingy that she can shove on the mantelpiece while she is unpacking.
