Anyone got a Argos Basic Freeview box ?

Replaced our dodgy Alba one with an Argos Basic (no other models in stock depsite sale starting ). Managed to connect it up but it has only installed a few channels (BBC1,2, 3, CBBC and CBeebies, News 24) where as before we had a much wider range of ITV, More 4 etc. Any idea as to why this may be as ostensibly, to a lay person at least, the spec is very similar, main difference being it comes with no cable.

Is your signal strength low?

I don't think so but am wondering if atmospherics aren't helping as it is pretty windy and overcast.

I guess that may affect it
Have you tried rescanning for channels again?

Just tried again this morning and makes no difference

any chance that the cable is duff?

otherwise I'd return it for a refund

we've had a couple of cheap ones and still got all the channels

I don't think so as am using the same cables as per the previous one which got a whole range . Wondering if it is tuning into a different, perhaps weaker, transmitter

hurrah success thanks to guy at Argos helpline. Cleared the channel memory completely with aerial out and rescanned .
