Mine "drowned" at the weekend and is well and truly dead. So,I need a new one.

Would like to spend under £100 and would like a 5x optical zoom.

Does anyone have one they would recommend?

Have a look at Fuji ones. We always went for Kodak ones but the last one we had took really grainy/rubbish photos indoors and a friend recommended a Fuji one so we have just got a Fujifilm J20 and it's fab

But it's only 3x optical zoom and £109.99 so prob not what you want

I've got one of those waterproof, shockproof, bashproof, kid proof Olympuses. I got it cos I was so fed up of cameras etc "dying" when they got a bit damp or battered (I am very outdoorsy, and have a outdoor job). Picture quality is good too. It is more than £100, but seems indistructable. Is definitley waterproof!

I've just bought the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS 85 here. It was rated number 10 and scored 66% in the Which Guides tests recently. The other cameras which scored higher were priced from 120-450 and scored from 66-78%. I was also after a cheaper camera as I have a habit of dropping mine and breaking them. I haven't used it yet so can't really comment on the quality of pictures but I always trust Which!
