Tell me about Fitflops please before I order some

I'm just not feeling my Birkies this year although I have about 6 pairs and love them. So I'm looking at Fitflops. But are they comfy or do they make your feet and legs ache? Can you walk and stand for ages in them? What is the sizing like? I'm a 6.5, 5 in Birkies so should I order a 6 or a 7?

And the thread was today . Teach me for mulling over a question for too long! I cant decide if they're worth the money but I need comfort.

I bought some fitflops last year and loved them. I have now brought them out again this summer and they are still comfortable. I normally don't like flipflops but can wear these for a long time. I do feel that they can make you stand better but not make your legs really ache.
