Stair gates - can you recommend one please?

My toddler has just managed to crack the gate at the top of our stairs by trying to climb over it. It was a Lindam wooden extending wall fix one. I need to order/buy a new one ASAP. Can anyone recommend one that fits the following criteria please?

  • wall fixed
  • no floor bar to trip on
  • wooden
  • STURDY!
  • easy for adults/teens to open but difficult for toddlers???!!!

How old is your toddler? Are U sure U still need a gate? Must admit I started taking gates down by the time they started climbing over them.

My toddler is 2 and a 1/2 but his little sister has just turned one and so I still need one. Sorry should have said that.
