Both my daughter and I have broad feet and both of us love shoe's, does anyone know of a site that we can buy fashionable shoes. Also how do you know what width of shoe to buy?

at last someone else with wide feet

Nine West shoes come up quite wide and to be honest some BHS ones are ok (said very quietly). Ive yet to find quality shoes which fit though. Although I understand the shoe tailor is supposed to be quite good.

I am absolutely with you here. I have exactly the same problem. Problem has been compounded by being pg.

My nine wests have now given out on me as being too narrow, so I am currently living in canoe sized, overpriced hiking shoes.

Good luck, sorry can't help more but I think its quite a common problem.

It's worth checking the internet. I know there used to be an shoe catalogue which had a website address - they'd send you the catalogue with a foot tape to measure the size and width. Cant for the life of me remember what the place was called!

I have wide feet myself, and in most cases it's a case of try try try. I still manage to get shoes from Faith (love that shop!). Best advice is to get feet measured though. Had mine done last year, I'm a size and a half smaller on one foot than I thought!!

my mom has five and a half double ee feet.
most shoes in shops come as c fittings. van daal do D fittings, and you can usually find them in places like clarks, k shoes, and concessions in allders, (but is suppose now debenhams) Brooke is a make that comes up in E and EE fittings. but you can always find it in concessions, and they are not cheap. but very comfy ..
there is a website called shoe-shop.com which does different width fittings. try different spellings as not sure of the exact address.
good luck.
oh, and mom definitly hates granny type shoes!

Oooh, there was a broad feet thread a bit ago with lots of suggestions, will try to find it. (At least I think it was broad, was certainly, long, but then there was a long-and-narrow thread too...Confused)

However, to be going on with, Evans do large sizes and they are quite broad too.

Here's one - big feet, both kinds on same thread! Quite a few links on there.

I had a card for a website for big shoes lying around until very recently but can't see it now, probably threw it out in the last couple of days...

Clarks do wide shoes (E and EE fittings) under the "K's" brand. Also "normal"shoe in clarks are a C fitting which is wider then some other places. Styles can be ordered in too.

I got some lovely emboidered cream slingback closed toe kitten heeled sandles from evans. I wore them to my wedding and everyone (even my jimmy choo wearing narrow footed friends) commented on how lovely they were.

Evans have some lovely pretty sandals and shoes in at the moment, they go up to size 10 and come in a very wide fit. I was drooling over them this morning!
