Apparently there are twins in FILs family. Just worried as friend at toddlers is due twins the beginning of December and shes been feeling like i've been.

They get a morning placement before they start school, so would be next August till following June then? 2 years at nursery? Would give me time to save up for wedding as would like to get married before Tom starts school!

NormaSknockers · 08/06/2009 14:19

DD starts school next year Because of her birthday she'll start at 4 as they only have the one intake in September.

I started when I was 4 too, as will DS our birthdays are within weeks of each other lol!

What does your gut say Bexie?

1 girl, lol.

norma - when is your DD 3? Tom was 3 in April. One of his pals is already at nursey and will be 4 in November, so I guess he'd start next August then? I started school when I was 5.

Wedding cost isn't too high really. Would just invite my parents and brother and DPs parents and brother and sister. Can the witnesses be family? Otherwise, will need to invite a couple of pals from down south. I'm not really into dresses, which will be interesting!

The biggest expenditure will be the honeymoon . I want to go on another cruise!

nicolamumof3 · 08/06/2009 14:51

bexie i would have sooner had a small wedding and a lavish honeymoon believe me! only six weeks to mine and still haven't got everything going to lakeside tonight hunting for shoes and accessories.

you don't have to wear a dress?

NormaSknockers · 08/06/2009 15:01

DD is 3 this month, she started nursery in Jan. DSs birthday is August so he'll start at 4 too, they'll both be one of the youngest in the year like i was lol! Fingers crossed for a pink one then

Love that First Wheels! Have put a bid in for it I want it, its my fave colour.

Babydrip, do you mean the Mutsy 4 Rider? Those are lovely prams, always fancied one myself (I have an extensive wants list).

Dis, excellent price on the Skate. You'll love it! If the First Wheels falls through, can I have dibs after Bexie?

BexieID · 08/06/2009 16:24

Kids do reception in England/Wales before they start year 1? I don't think they have that here in Scotland, so I assume Tom will just start in Primary 1 then.

We want just a small wedding at the local registry office, though may just see how much Gretna would cost . I don't want an expensive ring seeing as I lost my engagement ring during my move to Scotland . And that was less then £200, but we had it shipped from the States! Arghh! It's a photographer I will have a problem with cost wise. When i've done weddings, i've only charged £100 max and thats for all photos on CD/all printed in 6x4 and put into albums, all numbered.

We'd have a meal in the local carvery or a pub with a nice garden for Tom and DC2 to play in. I'd probably have a big party for my friends and family back home at some point as well.

5inthebed · 08/06/2009 16:33

Kids start Reception before y1 Bex. DS2 starts reception in September, although we are not sure where as he is getting statemented.

Sounds like a lovely wedding plan so far Bex. I got married at the civic centre here but didn't tell anyone I was getting married. Was a great day

FlyMeToDunoon · 08/06/2009 16:38

Bexie the system is different in Scotland-straight into P1.
DD2 is going to school in September. She is 5 on the 9th so one of the oldest whereas DD1 is a young one with a June birthday.
DD3 starting 2 mornings a week nursery in Sept too and her b.day is 25th.
So all of mine will be in the education system to some extent.

I can't wait!

Now it's thinking about Secondary school for DD1.......

BexieID · 08/06/2009 16:41

Good good, as long as we have 2 years to save for wedding, lol. Need to pick a date.

pebbles79 · 08/06/2009 16:48

Bexie, when's Toms birthday? If it's in Jan, Feb or March then he'll start school in the August after he turns 4. My DS2 is a January birthday and is 3 just now so still has just over a year before school.

BexieID · 08/06/2009 16:50

He's an April baby like his mummy .

SparklyGothKat · 08/06/2009 17:05

FlyMeToDunoon · 08/06/2009 17:10

SparklyGothKat · 08/06/2009 17:11

pebbles79 · 08/06/2009 17:12

He'll be one of the oldest in the class then and will be 5 when he starts

maxybrown · 08/06/2009 17:31

Right, who mentioned Mutsy 4 rider?? I have remembered now that it is a Mutsy was my other consideration for a rear facer.....damn it. Just when I had accepted it. Should I sell my Mac and get Mutsy?? Hmmm......I've had a bugger of a day and so thinking about what I may buy....terrible!!!!!!!!!

5inthebed · 08/06/2009 17:44

I was looking at herbies SGK, didn't like the white inside the black, never thought of getting it customised.
