Where to find a toy dog like this?

My daughter(4) has lost her comfort toy dog by leaving him in a train toilet. Doesn't seem to be any hope left of him turning up now... am so frustrated. Have tried to find similar on ebay but little luck so far. Does anyone know anywhere else I could try to find one?

It was from Woolworths/Chad Valley Dec 2005, and looks like this.

Where other than ebay can I look?
Thanks.

Put a search on ebay.

My DS lost a teddybear a few years ago and cries for it reguarly (pic on profile if anyone can help!!) and a MNer suggested putting a search on ebay and it will alert me with an email everytime an item with the description is auctioned.

I get emails every day, not had any luck yet, but still holding out!

Its blardy horrible when LO loses a precious comfy.

Sorry about link. It's to my profile, which wasn't public, so I guess that's the problem. Does it work now? Photo in my profile too.

Thanks.

Not for me, I'm afraid Twistle.

Nope, it just takes you to the sign-in page.

Problem for searching on ebay is there's around 500 cuddly dogs on there, and not much in the way of specific branding really. I've been through them, and will do weekly I guess.

I'm trying not to be too bothered about it, but it's not working! I mean, worse things happen. A school friend of my daughter's house burnt down last week... they lost everything... perspective.

Everyone is always very sympathetic about lost toys. I lost DD's special handbag on the bus on Wednesday and DH has been humiliating himself ringing the lost property departments asking if anyone has handed in a red plastic handbag containing a TV remote control, a box of sultanas and a spatula.

I have been thinking that MN should have a special section where you can post photos of soft toys you're going to get rid of, so people can get spares of treasured cuddlies. Nobody really bothers to look in the for sale/free section.

I have a couple of those comforters with heads that DD never took to that are destined for the charity shop, but it'd be so much better to match them up to someone who lives in fear of their DC dropping theirs out of the pram.

Ninedragons, don't know if you can help HERE at all...

ninedragons · 29/05/2009 01:46

Damn, no - I have two pink ones and a red one. Thanks for the link, though - I really should be more diligent about keeping an eye on Toys Reunited.

Twistle · 29/05/2009 10:52

Solo and nine - didn't know about Toys Reunited. Have posted over there now too. Thank you.
