haven't you anything left from your old kitchen?

Munchkinola · 07/05/2005 09:06

I have got stuff but it was what we got when we were married 9 yrs ago and so could do with replacing. Plus DH said "we really need to get new stuff for this kitchen." I don't need telling twice to spend money

have you tried doing a search with lakeland in the text? I'm sure you'll find lots of products being recommended?

Munchkinola · 07/05/2005 09:20

Good idea

I'm on to it now

Sorry I couldn't be more help, I've bought a few things including a ricer, want one? I used it all of once lol. Find it much easier to just mash the potatoes tbh.

I've bought some craft things in the sale though but that's not much use to you

miam · 07/05/2005 09:26

Sorry to hijack, but I have had Lakeland vouchers for about 6mths but cannot find any stores to use them in . I'm going to be in London next weekend - surely there is a Lakeland there? But where??

Juniperdewdrop · 07/05/2005 09:29

UPPER THAMES WALK, BLUEWATER

found this one?

miam · 07/05/2005 09:34

Ooh, thanks juniper. I'll have a look on the map for it (don't know London atall, but I believe it is quite a large place.....)

Munchkinola · 07/05/2005 15:24

Bump in case anyone has a 'must have' I should know about

Fudge - it's the best I've ever tasted (not entirely relevant to equipping a kitchen I'll admit).

Klippits - especially the extra large ones, I use them all the time for things like bags of muesli/flour etc.

Munchkinola · 07/05/2005 15:36

Oooooh that can be my treat for all the hard work I've got to do putting things back in place.

EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Munchkinola · 07/05/2005 15:41

Can you imagine!!!! I'll have one of everything please

Hope they deliver

a soggy teabag holder?

I'm sure there must be something better to spent your cash on. What's wrong with them going straight in the bin or in the composter (save them up in a cup so you don't have to go out 20 times a day)

Bet it's not cheap either.

Janh · 07/05/2005 15:44

Bluewater , miam. It's just outside London, off the M25 in Kent.

Munchkinola · 07/05/2005 15:46

teabagholder

OP posts:
emmatmg · 07/05/2005 15:50

You can not be serious munchkinola?

Ok, it's only a fiver but what a waste of money and space. And exactly how many tea bags do you need to fill it, it would be sticking by the time it's full.

Find something better, please.

Your friends will laugh at you when they ask "what is that?"

emmatmg · 07/05/2005 15:51

stinking not sticking

Munchkinola · 07/05/2005 15:57

oh thanks, I obviously have no sense

Fimbo · 07/05/2005 16:00

My bf has one of those teabagholders, and loves it!! So if you want one go for it!!

emmatmg · 07/05/2005 16:00

have I won you over then?

can you see it's pointlessness now?

And another thing I noticed, it looks like a big/fancy ashtray for the serious smoker. Not sure if you are a smoker but even if you are it'd take some smoking to fill that!

LOL

emmatmg · 07/05/2005 16:01

Fimbo, shhhhhhhhhhh!!!

juniperdewdrop · 07/05/2005 16:01

Someone must buy them though or else they'd stop making them?

I use a little ceramic pot that sallystrawberry bought me (whilst I was in Wales) to put my teabags in. It's really too nice but every time I make a cuppa I think of her

Fimbo · 07/05/2005 16:02

My friend uses it as a mini bin (yoghurt pot lids, teabags etc) then just empties it out into a carrier bag then into her outside bin at the end of the day.

juniperdewdrop · 07/05/2005 16:06

My MIL would love one of those tbh so I think I'll get her one. Of course I'll have to buy something else to warrant the postage
