You've inspired me Munchkinoal - have just been on the website and done £73 worth of shopping

JanH Completely agree with the Klippits and their price. I've got just one packet as they are that bit bigger than the IKEA selection, so good for frozen peas etc. I really don't know what I would or (or did do!) before I had them.

juniperdewdrop · 09/05/2005 13:12

Just got an email to say my liquorice is on its way Wonder why the other stuff isn't though? I'll have to hide it from the kids though

I think they have such a brill selection of tea-towels, and good wiping up cloths.

I love the mini whisks (like delia uses), 'Lock and lock' containers are a brill idea, and we couldn't live without regular supplies of the freeze-easy bags and klippits (Ikea ones break more easily)

Janh · 09/05/2005 13:21

They never have klippits when I go, Easy! I once found a single stray one which I pocketed and yes, it's much sturdier than IKEA ones - I must ask next time, if they have them regularly (or am I looking in the wrong place? Where do they keep them in yours?)

Just tell whoever you need some arty, crafty stuff - to make some money. Far more interesting catalogue!

Janh · 09/05/2005 13:22

Oh, ignore me, I was thinking this was the Lidl thread !!!

Easy · 09/05/2005 13:26

Janh, do they sell klippits in Lidl?? no I thought not.

As for lakeland, our shop always has a lady stood just inside the door, who will direct you to whatever you want. Actually If I ask, she normally gets someone to get it for me, but I think that's because I'm a PLC and look incapable.

Janh · 09/05/2005 13:34

I've never seen them either, Easy, but as I said I found an odd one there once (it has a proper hinge, not just a crease like IKEA's) so assume they have them sometimes - hence apparently demented post!

Munchkinola · 12/05/2005 18:17

Well I went today and met the nice lady on the door that Easy recommended.

I ended up buying several lock and lock boxes, a lemon squeezer, e-cloths, a roasting tin, jumbo and normal clippits and red australian liquorice.

I put back the oven liner and the can strainer plus various other things that made me go "Oooooo I need that!" as common sense prevailed - this time Plus I couldn't have got much more on the pushchair! However I did add some pearlescent cards and card toppers which were half price.

The scales I wanted were cheaper in Argos but I brought home their catalogue plus a summer one and have mental started a wish list.

Thanks for everyones tips, I shall be smuggled various items into the kitchen over the next few weeks.

PS half the liquorice has gone already

Found these Klippits on Ebay, look quite sturdy with a hinge (although it does say "like" Lakeland ones).

hunkermunker · 12/05/2005 19:04

Munchkinola will work my way through this thread

Lock and lock boxes are fantastic (Waitrose do them too - hurrah!) - DS has all the food we take out (except bananas...!) out of these!

jodee · 12/05/2005 19:11

Don't know if these have already been mentioned, but the Biscuits for One containers are great and so are these , use both for ds's lunchbox/biscuit snacks.

We have a new store now in bournemouth, hurray!

crystaltips · 13/05/2005 16:16

Anyone rate these ???

washing thingy

treacletart · 13/05/2005 21:55

I do, but DH doesn't. I think for a normal wash its great but cant really handle tough old stains - although in fairness ours came with a handy stain stick that even worked on a massive felt-tip stain.

So yes buy a washball, but my favourite Lakeleand purchase is our can-crusher. Makes recycling a pleasure
