please help,
need a cheap and light fold away double buggy/stroller (want a side by side)for our 18month old and 6 month old. needs to have individual reclining seats so they can sleep independently. we have a narrow gate and steps down to our front door so it needs to be less than 70cm wide unfolded. everything i've seen is over this width, going mad here, does anyone make a narrow one?

73cms is the very smallest they go I'm afraid.

Are you dead set on a side bu side? You can get umbrella folding tandems now.

I've never seen a side by side less than 73cm either. if it has to be narrower, your only optios are a single with a itaf seat or a tandem if it must be a double.

hello,
thanks so much for your replies, it seems like they just don't make them, whats the pushchair shed?

this doesn't answer your question, I know, but fwiw we also have a narrow gate and lots of steps down from our front door. I always keep the pushchair in the back of our car which is parked on the road. Works for us.

we keep ours in the car too

in fact, thinking about it, are you really going to want to put the kids in and then bump it up the steps?

owl2 · 26/05/2009 19:52

hi,
we always bump up and down the steps and the kids stay asleep aswell if we're careful on the way down, we have a phil and ted but its no good for the car and its not great for them to sleep in as both seats don't really recline and the thing is so damn heavy and hard to push anyway, just wanted a light side by side, if it wasn't for the bloody gate i'd be fine with 73cm aswell!
