anyone elses seem to heat itself up the longer its on?

mine reads the same temp as the baby monitor and my avent thingy when I first put it on, but as the night goes on it goes up and up whilst the others stay pretty constant

is it just my one or have others found the same thing? Am wondering if its worth getting it replaced or not - at the mo we just use it as an expensive night light at the temp is not reliable

I felt that ours was a waste of money, TBH. Like you said, the temperature reading is really unreliable (being too close to a window or to a light affected its temperature); plus our house seemed to be permanently dangerously hot.

We reckoned it was just a gimmick to make new parents anxious.

From about day 2, we judged whether the temperature was ok for DD by touching her neck and tummy instead.

yes according to mine my room gets to about 25.5 degrees by the middle of the night! We are sensible enough to know that its not though.

It does however give just the right amount of light for a night light so I guess we'll just keep it for that since yours is also rubbish as a room thermometer
