Babies socks/first shoes help ?
poppy101 · 06/05/2005 08:54
Can anyone advise me, where can I buy baby socks with grips on etc. as I don't really want to put my baby in pram shoes, but have heard that baby socks with grips on are good, but where can I get them from ?

Thanks, I will have to travel in Cardiff at the weekend and see if I can buy some.

I found some great ones in woolworths, but they may only be winter ones.

M&S baby socks are similar to the GAP ones. I found they stayed on my DS quite well.

Gap's triple roll socks are great and worth the money IMO as they do not come off and so don't get lost. HTH

next have some too which say "next baby" on the feet - thats what we put jess is - she is 9 months.

GAP triple roll, DS has had somesince he was a few months old and still are as good as new, obviously I have bought more more appropiate to his size but in emergencies the 0-6m old still fit perfectly. The nice thing of the print out in the sock is that when they start walking they don't skid as much.

I loved those little padder things, that were basically leather bags with elastic around the ankle. Loads of places do them. Gave a bit of grip, but also stopped DD2 pulling her socks off at every given opportunity.

I found the only thing to keep socks on are the leather shoes, by daisy roots, or inch blue etc. They are the best soft shoes by far, all my kids have or had them!!
Newbarnsleygirl · 09/05/2005 11:21
I second Daisy Roots.
H&M do the socks with the padded bits on.

M & S do socks with grips too, they are lovely and thick and stay on too.
