Designer @ Debenhams childrens clothing - sizing help

I would like to order some items for my dd from Designers @ Debenhams (Butterfly and Junior J) and wondered if anyone has any ideas about sizing - do they come up small for the age iyswim.

I have just ordered some stuff from Minimode and have had to send it all back because its too small for dd who is 8 months but a little chunky

i have no experience of the girls but the boys stuff comes up small i order one size up esp. in tops for my boys.

I always buy an age bigger for my DD. She's quiet tall for her 4 years. I recently bought her an age 5 denim pinafore and it just about fits her. hth

Yes I too would buy a size larger on their stuff.

My DS2 who is 2.4 has a couple of Duffer tops in age 3 that fit him fine - and I mean fine not too big but will prob be too small before the summer is out definatley too small for a 3 year old.

pippylongstockings - I agree with the duffer tops, my DS is 2.3 and he is in their 3-4 tops

Dd is 6 in October and still in some of the 3-4 stuff...(and we're whoppers in this family!) The only one I'd say was a bit on the small side is the john Rocha junior one.....am always buying trousers in their sale and having to take them up....

The designers at debenhams tops are really small, I would get one size up. The trousers are quite big though.

My Ds is a slim dinky dot but he has a junior j coat age 18 24 that fots him lovely (he is 20 months) but normally that would bury him!! For example he has just grown out of his mini mode age 6 9 months jacket! lol But mini mode do really vary you know.

I always order next size up for DS as I feel the sizing to be small here.
