Music CD's/DVD's for active babies

Can anyone recommend music CD's or DVD's for babies/toddlers?

DS is 9months but very advanced and active for his age. He has a very short attention span and I've been advised by the health visitor to get 'story or nursery rhyme tapes'. I'm unsure of which ones to purchase.

Just had a quick look at Baby Mozart and Baby Bach but I think they would not entertain DS at all.

Are there any to be recommended?

Ones with action songs on that you can do with him.

We've got a lovely Usbourne book that came with a CD which isn't to cheesy

A wonderful CD of action songs, played by a couple of very talented Dorset musicians is 'Rosie the Little Red Car':) You can find it on the website www.playsongsplus.com where you can listen to excerpts before purchase - brilliant for parents as well as little ones, especially on long journeys. It has everything from boogie-woogie Piano to 'join in with instruments' stuff. My little one, now nearly 5, still loves it! They have a beautiful lullaby CD too, with heavenly harmonies.

What about a baby signing DVD, just the right age for that. Sing and Sign looks very naff but my kids absolutely loved it and still sing the songs. You can get some books now with DVD's like going on a bear hunt and they've been very popular in my house. The Wiggles may go down a treat with him too. Not quite sure about 'short attention span' tho - it's what they're all like for some time to come!
