Would like to put a safety gate on my DS's bedroom door to stop my older DD wandering in and waking him up (or throwing toy 'presents' into the cot when he is sleeping!!!). I currently have a kiddyguard rollerblind stair gate at the top of the stairs, but don't want to have to shell out £70 again for another one. I was wondering whether it is possible to close the bedroom door when a standard stairgate is in place, and whether there are any suitable gates that don't have a bar to trip over, but can also be easily removed to use in other rooms. My mother uses walking sticks and I hate to think of her tripping. Any advice is much appreciated.
