Need Mn advice re Playmat

Hello all you lovely MNers!

I am looking for a quite large playmat for my son, ideally over 100cm x 100cm, bigger the better really! Ideally an interactive one too to keep DS amused while I get on with housework and also to reward him for moving around etc (yeah I know it will drive me crazy in the end but hey, he will love it)

Any suggestions?

Have looked at mothercare and like their happy safari crawlmat here but feel its too narrow. Does anyone know of something similar or anything like this at all?

I have to pop out but will check back later, thanks in advance for any suggestions!

(have also posted in chat to get extra coverage lol)

he'll roll off that before you know it and be under the dining table.

you'd be better off buying a large rug and put different toys on it for him to grab at, roll to. has he already got an activity gym with overhead hanging toys? use this too if you do.

yeah i was thinking about a large duvet with a really bright duvet cover if I cant find anything and just scattering his toys about it. He has a playgym mat but he just rolls off it all the time, hence why im looking for a bigger one.
He is just learning to roll about so is all over the place in just a few moments.
Thanks

hi - my mother in law makes padded playmats that are 150 x 150 - various designs, fold small and can be washed in the machine, been great for our 3 kids - she does one with trains on that is v nice for boys, also smaller activity mats with things that crackle and squeek etc - first post here so sorry if i am not allowed to post this sort of advert or advice it's hard to know these days ? I can email some photos if you'd like to take a look - tom
