Wonder if you can still take it back after 3 months if you don't like it !?

Wow - mainstream now!

KatieMac · 05/05/2005 20:38

I have a rubber allergy - do you think it's worth a try?

sparklymieow · 05/05/2005 20:39

WideWebWitch · 05/05/2005 20:40

Munchkinola · 05/05/2005 20:40

Munchkinola · 05/05/2005 20:40

Munchkinola · 05/05/2005 20:44

mooncup

hellomama · 05/05/2005 20:46

i've just bought one but haven't used it yet. Am almost looking forward to next period so I can try it out... now that is sad!

Tissy · 05/05/2005 21:17

Katiemac, mooncups are silicone, so you should have no problem at all go for it!

marthamoo · 05/05/2005 22:16

www, yes, Munchkinola is right - £19.99. They are with the tampons and they have both styles (don't think that's the right word). One for passages unaltered by the rigours of childbirth, and a giant industrial sized model for the rest of us who are stretched all to hell .

They said on the website you can put it in your dishwasher!

Can you imagine, a posh dinner party for vegetarians...

"I thought you said there was no meat in this... it looks a bit like liver!"

spod · 05/05/2005 22:23

so, do these work then? messy? leakage? convenient? does one just shove it in and forget about it? is it comfy?

marthamoo · 06/05/2005 09:18

spod, archived threads is down at the moment or I'd do you a link - just put mooncup in, I expect a lot of threads will come up!

I tried one and didn't like it but a lot of people swear by them.

SO then Im goin to have to go into child mode now but URGH!!!!
You want me to stick one of those in my minnie?

Childish bit over. I find them very strange. Have enough trouble with tampons nevermind having tupperware up there!

Louise1980 · 07/05/2005 16:47

Reckon yuoud get one on e-bay? I just read the 'cant believe what they sell on e-bay' thread!

basketcase · 07/05/2005 16:51

Even if I could get past the euuggggh factor, the worry that it would "tip" somehow or shift and let me down puts me off chancing it. Bit expensive to just "have a go" and not got the bottle to take it back if it lets me down

Louise1980 · 07/05/2005 16:56

Same here! The sterilising bit puts me off too! Can you imagine, youd have teh washerman out n he'd look at it oddly n say "'scuse me luv but wtf?" "oh that its just a re-usable tampon" Can you imagint his reaction?!?!?!?!
