Good deal on a First Wheels City Twin. Is it horribly unwieldy to use?

Seen one new for £275. I love the idea of baby in a carrycot. Everyone raves about the double Nipper and it's only 5cm wider. Are those 5cm crucial?

It's the older design, shop floor model. Do you have one?

I had a Nipper and just about fit in most places if I took the doorway slowly and came at it from straight ahead....in my opinion those 5cm would make a huge difference for the ease of getting around shops / town. If your just planning on using it for walks outside then wouldn't make any difference.

Ah, it's 78cm, Nipper is 73. No side by side will fit through my front door however. I don't want a tandem and DD is pretty tall for the Phil & Teds at 20 months

Yes, that's what I was thinking. I'm not sure how easy it is. I didn't try in the shop as DD wasn't in the mood for hanging about. The kiddicare video makes it look pretty easy but I think they have a knack of doing that!

I tried a twin firstwheels out on shop floor in mothercare and to my horror it wouldn't even fit through the door to mothercare's own baby change room!!! I realised then that it was not going to work for me. Also the seat units on it are quite short backed so your 20 month old won't fit it for long. The weight limit per seat is 33lb. Maybe look at double mountain buggy? 55lb per seat limit, high backed seats (my 4.5 year old still fits) and detachable pram top available. It is also narrower, 73 or 74cm i think.
