Smoby Baby Driver 4 vs Smart trike

Hi folks,

I wonder is anyone can help. I want to buy a trike with a parent handle for my son's first birthday but I can't decide between a Smoby Baby Driver 4 www.johnlewis.com/230476039/Product.aspx or a Smart trike www.mothercare.com/Smart-Trike-trike-plus/dp/B001OA0LHM/sr=1-1/qid=1242643795/ref=sr_1_1/280-1087695 -1579848?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=77160031&mcb=core

I am thinking that the Smart Trike would be better for my son as the seat has 'arms' around it and would be safer BUT I have John Lewis vouchers I could use for the Smoby one which would obv. be better for me!

Any opinions would be gratefully recieved.

I got the smart trike for ds,s 1st birthday and its fab. Its really easy to steer.

I think at 1 they still need the support around them.

My ds is now nearly 3 and its still going strong.
