Have had a good old Google but am getting slightly bored and lazy about this. Although the idea of a new car thrills me, researching the subject is to me what asking a man to find a good nail varnish would be.

So, please tell me about your MPV and which of my boxes it ticks.

Here are my wants:

To be a little high up inside for ease of putting children in

Safety rating excellent or at least very good

Good economy, both mpg and emissions for tax rating

Decent boot space if using all seats - I will be with 4 DC nearly all the time so is pointless going for a vehicle that has 2cm boot space with all the seats in use

Not too dowdy looking

Also, because I am having this car bought for me by twunty porsche driving exdp, I would like the following just cos I can :

Sat Nav
In car DVD and somewhere to plug my ipod
Parking sensors
Mirrors that fold in like wings
Tinted windows would be good to hide the mess
Cup holders and good storage because my var is a tip

you need slidey rear doors (i.e. not a Galaxy or similar) - godsend in the supermarket car park.

Ford S-max - good safety, big boot, nice to drive, all the sat nav/ipod/parking sensor extras if you go for the titanium spec (think that's what it's called), pretty sporty looking.

Or Volvo XC90 - not quite as economical, but not as polluting as a Porsche
