looks nice. We bought DD one from ELC but that was many years ago (well 12!) and it was great, even had milk churns in the trailer!

You have to get a John Deer - they are the dog nadgers and they last forever and all his mates will be super jealous.

should I get the 2-5 years or 3-10 years?

hi,we have the first one,but with the digger scoop on the front,we bought it for ds' 4th birthday, the 2-5 size was right for him,he still loves it a yr later,
we also bought him an extra trailer for it,its a water tanker you can spray the water from a small hose by using a pump, this was a MEGA hit in our house,ds LOVES it,

we bought the whole lot from ebay, and its been great,

I would get the bigger one. We got ds one when he was 2 and then a bigger one when he was 3.5 []www.pitchcare.com/shop/category/1399/pedal-tractors this although our one also had a trailer]]. Ds is nearly 5 and plays on it practically every day. We got it from Toysrus when they had a 50% off offer (around Christmas).

link

hereidrawtheline · 16/05/2009 11:50

is this the same as the 3-10 years ones on this page

because the first one says 2 1/2 + and the second says 3-10. I want a 3-10 one but the two look the same, but for the first one being much cheaper. I really want a tractor, trailer, and if possible a frontloader, and I love the sound of the water thing too!! DS's bday is in August so I have a couple of months to gomad find the money!

We have this one

Hope the link works! We paid about this much for it for DS's 2nd birthday last year. I have seen it for £40ish more on various sites.

One thing I would say is that the stickers are a right faff! DH did the main putting together though.

hereidrawtheline · 16/05/2009 21:03

oh that's lovely!! I hate the idea of lining stickers up!

We got the older John Deere one (3-10 years) for ds1's birthday, and it is fab (horrendous to build though - set aside a lot of time if you get one, and have a hammer and WD-40 to hand). He loves it, but is just a bit too short to pedal it yet (he is tiny though).

Visiting children think it is fantastic.
