Or if you don't necessarily want a soft doll, how about a Corolle doll? My dd1 has had this one for at least 2 years now and still loves it.

we bought baby annabel for my dd when she was 2,but tbh i was quite dissappointed with it,my neice gave her baby chou chou and it is MUCH better, far more realistic and responsive to her,she plays with it for ages,

We already have a corolle doll Aranea. I agree, she is lovely - smells gorgeous and dd loves her.

TBH I'm torn between getting mer a new doll or buying new clothes for the corolle doll.

The doll she has is dressed in a baby grow which is difficult for dd to take on and off. So I'm either going to get her a new doll for her to undress or buy her clothes that she can take on and off. The clothes seemed just as expensive as buying a new doll though

Ah, yes we still have that problem with the doll's clothes! However apparently the doll prefers to go naked most of the time anyhow...
