Scooter for nearly 5 year old

Help- ds nearly 5 is scooter mad and uses his mini micro every day rather than walking. But now his little sister at 2.5 is v. keen to make off with the micro scooter, having been practising in the house all winter....so if we were to get another scooter for ds, which one would we get? The micro is so fab and I'm not sure if a cheapie scooter from argos will match it. But reluctant to buy another expensive scooter if a cheaper one will do. Also, not sure he's ready for a 2-wheeler, he's small for his age. Any advice?

Not sure what kind you mean he has already, but dd is not quite 4 and she is whizzing around on a two-wheeler one that we bought for about a tenner (an Argos special!) - it's the same as the one 8 year old ds has, she just has the handlebar lower. She's quite little for her age so I'm sure your ds would be fine on it. I was all for buying a three wheeler one for her but dh picked up the wrong one and now I'm glad he did as she'd have grown out of it very quickly.

Thanks - he's got one of those ones with 2 wheels at the front at the mo. Those ones for a tenner in argos are a bargain. Is it one like this: www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3670293/Trail/searchtext%3ESCOOTER.htm ?
